I am an Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor, yoga/mindfulness teacher and I have a background of teaching creative students in Higher Education. Integrative means I can drawn on a variety of psychotherapeutic theories in my work as well as being attentive to thoughts, feelings and body sensation if appropriate. For more about me please see my website.
Who do I work with?
I work with adult individuals who experience anxiety, depression and relationship difficulties often amongst other difficulties. My specialism is working with clients who have experienced childhood family disruption (bereavement/divorce/separation/abandonment) which impacts their way of being as an adult.
Culturally sensitive, I welcome diversity of age, ethnicity, religion, gender and sexual identity. I will respect and understand your ideas, beliefs and values and not impose mine on you.
What happens in a session?
We will talk about what you are thinking, feeling and experiencing and explore possible connections between past and present. Depending upon what you bring, we can find ways forward to help you to feel better. Sometimes just allowing your thoughts and feelings to be shared and aired is relieving and healing.
