I am a Training Analyst and Supervisor with a well established private practice with considerable experience of working within the National Health Service.
Empathy, warmth, compassion and non judgmental support are probably common to all talking therapies and my approach varies according to the individual needs and circumstances of each person, drawing upon the various methods I have studied.
My main training is in the interpretation of dreams, known as Analytical Psychology or Jungian Analysis, which is Depth Psychology, and is the unique contribution of the Swiss Psychiatrist Dr Carl Gustav Jung. Working in this way, with the focus on one’s dreams provides an enriching and life enhancing experience offering invaluable new insights.
I am registered with the The United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), a member of The Independent Group of Analytical Psychologists (IGAP), and a member of The International Association for Analytical Psychologists (IAAP) with strict adherence to their Code of Ethics and Practice, committed to maintaining professionally high standards through continuing professional development.
My background has always involved patient care, my original training was in medical physics, working in Radiotherapy & Oncology and then in Nuclear Medicine at Kings College Hospital and Guy’s Hospital for over ten years where the groundwork for my therapeutic training really began. Throughout this time I witnessed immense suffering as well as the joy and relief that healing brings.
