Integrative counsellor (Humanistic, Psychodynamic)
I offer a gentle, non-judgemental space in which to reflect on and explore any difficulties you may be experiencing. My integrative, relational approach means we can work together to understand your needs and tailor the support to your personal requirements and experiences. This may involve looking at your past and how it is still impacting your present, such as in your relationships or any unhelpful behaviours, and may include cognitive and behavioural techniques if agreed this may be useful.
I am particularly experienced in working with eating disorders, addiction and compulsive behaviours, and bereavement..
Please call or email me to set up an initial session where we’ll talk about what you hope to get from counselling and how it could work; if we decide to continue we would then arrange to meet weekly, ideally at a regular time.
I qualified with a Diploma in Integrative Counselling (humanist and psychodynamic) from the Mary Ward Centre. I also recently completed a Diploma in Core Process Psychotherapy Relational Mindfulness, and a Certificate in DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy).
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and work to their ethical guidelines.
